There is an extensive network of roads in England but the majority are very narrow with tight bends. Because of this there are countless small junctions. You can get lost very quickly if there are no signposts and sometimes this even happens when using a satellite navigation device.
It’s no wonder that the English have become masters of signage. Sometimes it can also be a bit unconventional, special, or quirky. It is these little things that bring special joy to the traveller!
