The Cross Guns Pub in Avoncliff near Bradford-on-Avon (Wiltshire)
Located directly at the Avoncliff Aqueduct between the Kennet and Avon Canal and the River Avon, the “Cross Guns” is a really nice rural pub with a good selection of beers.
The food is of a good standard (please check the menu on the homepage yourself), although there is a slightly reduced selection for outdoor dining.

The highlight of The Cross Guns is the garden: It extends down the slope over several terraces to the River Avon. This provides space for quite a number of guests, which is sometimes required.
It is particularly nice, especially down by the river, and it is a wonderful place to enjoy the day’s last rays of sunshine.
Down in the garden. The beer glass doesn’t quite match the drink which is a fine Ale!
