Durdle Door
In the county of Dorset on the English Channel lies the Jurassic Coast; a coastal strip designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. In the grounds of the privately-owned Lulworth Estate, there is an exciting rock formation called „Durdle Door“ in an area which has public access. This is a natural arch made of hard limestone and is located on a very popular bathing beach. It is extremely well worth seeing when the light is good!
If you continue a little further east from Durdle Door on the South West Coast Path, you will reach Lulworth Cove. This is an almost circular bay in the chalk cliffs, which can be seen from above (Pay attention: the hills are really high and steep!).
